While visiting family back home I was looking through old photo albums and was really attracted to some old photos of my childhood. As I state in my PERSONAL BIO on this site, my time spent on the farm as a child was special to me and for some reason I felt compelled to try and paint some of the photos. I let my instinct guide me as I felt a strong desire to play with the colours and ended up with a somewhat abstracted version of the photos. During the process i felt a strong sense of some kind of healing going on within me which might explain why i choose to paint my family and myself blue. (This series is ongoing as I am still working on #4 and hope to do a couple more).
